A SILENT CONVERSATION

One-week art residency in Meerle’s nature

During the first evening of our residency, a phrase emerged from the conversations: «Just as drawing allows us to see better, dancing allows us to sense better». This thought became the main inspiration during my stay. Let myself embrace the movements of nature: its sounds, its rhythms, its palpitations, its smells, its moods, its breaths and let myself animate by these same movements; blend into the visual and soundscape. This effort of aligning oneself with a form of existence, at first sight, estranged, paradoxically help to reconnect with a deeply personal organic part.

During our stay, the owner of the neighboring piece of land felled his forest. By compensating, several symbolic or memorial repairs were carried out in situ.
